Founded in 2015 by sisters Emma and Leila Rowett, threads that bind us is a proudly South African, women-owned design studio creating handcrafted homeware inspired by the extraordinary fynbos found in the Cape. Rooted in a love of craftsmanship and conscious living, every collection begins as an original free-motion embroidered artwork. Our signature scatter cushions are created using fabric paint and thread to build rich texture and depth before the original artwork is digitally reproduced onto premium cotton using environmentally friendly water-based inks. The result is a collection of distinctive cushions that blend artistry with everyday function.
