Karoo Baba creates natural, functional sheepskin products in Cape Town, using Merino sheepskin from the Karoo, a semi-desert region of South Africa. Desert peoples have relied on sheepskin and wool for centuries, because they breathe and balance temperature: cooler in the heat of the day, warm on cold desert nights and in air-conditioned rooms. It is natural, long-lasting and renewable. We offer sheepskin rugs and throws, slippers, travel neck pillows and insulating bottle sleeves, plus practical, giftable smaller pieces: furniture glides that protect tile and marble floors, jewellery display pads, pads for vases and lamps, buffing squares for leather sofas, sheepskin sheets for upholstery and drawer linings, and pompoms for bag charms and keyrings.
